Bedroom Halloween Mantle...

We have three mantles in our home. Yes. I realize that seems excessive, but when you see the volume of Halloween treasures that need to be displayed in our home, you'll understand why we cover every surface possible.

I still love those witch legs dangling down from the fireplace opening.

The felt owl is my newest acquisition from Elizabeth at Creative Breathing.  I just adore all the ruffles that Elizabeth adds to her special creations.

I featured the black cat and mini witch from Magpie Ethel earlier.  I {heart} them so!! The felted wool spider was created by Viv last year.  Just wait to see what she made me this year (post coming Thursday)!!

The mini witch and party hat are things that I made a few years ago.

Whenever I see dolls that need a little makeover, I tend to bring them home and dress them up according to the latest holiday.

I used my vintage dessert picks on spools of orange thread that I embellished.

Every part of our house gets decorated for Halloween.  Nothing is off limits.

Halloween hugs!

  6. SOOOO jealous of all your goodies - and your dedication to displaying them. I always mean to deck the halls for every holiday but Christmas is usually it. Love those owls, especially.

  10. Oh what I wouldn't do to have more mantles....you're SO lucky! You have the best decorations Kim, and I think what makes them so special is how you have so many handmade things tucked in there too. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Martha Stewart has nothing on you. YOU are the Halloween Queen!

  12. Kim-
When I look at your pictures I just think about all the memories that you are creating for your daughters. What would it be like to grow up in a house that is decorated to the max each season??? Magical I'm sure! Your girls are so lucky!
