Sweethearts candy box crafting...

Hello.  My name is Kim and I'm addicted to glitter.
With a bit of glitter and  a stash of lovely Valentine graphics found on Meri's blog (ImagiMeri), I've been flipping .59 cent box of sweethearts candy into ornaments.

It's really simple.  Empty the box of sweethearts candy and then cut out the heart graphic on the front of the box.

It doesn't even have to be a perfect heart-shape because it gets covered up anyways.

Decorate the interior of the box with Valentine graphics and paper doilies.

Outline the heart cutout with trim and then cover the sides of the box and the back in glue and glitter.

I've decided that nothing is safe from glitter in my house.

Glitter makes everything better!

  10. Kim you have corrupted me! I have picked up & set back down a box set of those candies for the past two weeks at my grocery store. I had the very same idea you had of cutting out the heart & making a mini shadow box but talked myself out of buying them twice. After seeing yours I'm running out to get them today!LOL....Hi! My name is Patti and I am addicted to crafting!

And also, I discovered "glitter glue" for the first time this past Christmas crafting season. I don't know why I never used it before, but suddenly nothing is safe from it! Glitter Glue...it's NOT just for kids!
OK, going to buy some candy hearts!

  19. Hi Kim,
I just love all the wonderful ideals that you come up with! I saw something kinda like this on pinterest. I love glitter too, but I think you have the glitter bug more than I do LOL
Have a wonderful week and enjoy your weekend. Stay warm, I watch the weather channel every morning and I can't believe how cold it has gotten in your part of the world.
