GR Chinese Language School Spring Cultural Festival!

As promised, here are a few pictures that I took during our set-up for the Grand Rapids Chinese Language School Spring Cultural Festival held Saturday at our Public Museum.

The decorating and planning committee worked so hard and the venue was absolutely beautiful.

Each class also decorated a poster board to display at the event.  Here are just few of the many posters that were created for the evening.

Josie's class decorated the panda poster.
Her panda is the orange sheet in the left of the board.

It was a beautiful evening and I'm secretly relieved it only happens once a year.
PS.  On Sunday, Josie and I spent the whole afternoon making up for her absence at the festival.  We had all kinds of Chinese New Year crafting fun...even the paint came out!  Pictures coming later this week.

  1. everything looks perfect Kim. I hope you had a good time. Im sure it was time consuming getting ready for it, but I bet in the end it was well worth it. too bad that sweet Josie had to miss it in the end. How nice that they put something like this together. there is nothing like this that happens around here.. maybe in one of the citys, rochester or buffalo.
have a great day my friend

I'm sure that she will remember the fun that the two of you had to replace the event she missed. You will have these pictures to show her when she is older of all the work you did for her.

  21. What a pretty place to party! I bought stuffed Panda bears for the three angels who entered our lives from China. Their Mom adopted a year after interviewing with me and seeing the pix of my kids on my desk. Who knew that in the future her family would become an extensio of ours! Small World after all...
