Easter Spoolie Swap

Now that my partner and I have exchanged our Easter spoolies, I can share everything that I received from my generous partner Pam at Virginia Retro.
The idea behind this exchange was to make a pretty gift out of a vintage wooden thread spool, or new thread spool.   Pam sent me TWO decorated spools.

Just look at all the special details.  Who doesn't love a pink chick and the vintage rabbit card adds the perfect touch.

In addition to these darling spools, she also packed a box full of all kinds of lovely treasures.

Love these vintage Easter cards.  I don't have many and I've got plans to scan these and do something special with them.
She also tucked in several linens, vintage hankie and pin.  Be still my heart!

Loads of embellishments, tags and miniature straw hats will be put to good use in an upcoming project.

A beautifully decorated egg container also filled with all sorts of special treasures was also part of my over-flowing box.

This seriously was the gift that kept on giving and giving and GIVING!

Thank you Pam.  This was such a fun swap and it's been such a joy to get to know you and your blog (Virginia Retro) better.

Your spools are taking center stage on my fireplace mantle!!

Here are a few pictures of the spool that I made Pam using a Christmas putz house that I decorated for Easter.

And here are a few other things that I tucked into her package...

This was such a fun Easter swap.  Thank you for organizing it Sandy!
