Cardboard cottage...

Our microwave died several weeks ago and my husband just installed a new one.
The microwave came in a very large box which has officially become Josie's cardboard cottage.
It's a perfect area for reading, napping and puppet shows.
We're all looking forward to lots more creative play time this weekend.

PS.  I'm totally loving Josie's much shorter hair.  Amazing how quickly I can wash and style it!

She even reminds me of one of my favorite Mary Engelbreit's characters (Gracie).

 Happy Friday!

  6. Using your imagination and turning a box into a cottage is more fun than a toy any day! And you are SO right, Josie totally looks like she was the inspiration for ME's sweet character!

  7. My goodness she just keeps getting cuter and cuter. I hope you noticed the doll in my post. Sandy said the doll looks just like her now, and isn't that cool? I'm still working on one for Emma.

  15. Josie does have a resemblance to Gracie. I used to love when the ME magazine would arrive and I could cutout the paper dolls. One day I gave them all away . . . why did I ever do that!

  17. What a darling little girl your Josie is...I remember watching your video of the day long ago that you were blessed with Josie. I am so deeply moved by the love and nurturing you and your family have given her.

  18. Kim,
This reminded me of one of my favorite childhood play things. My Mom would set up the card table and cover it with sheets and it would become a play house, a tent, a teepee or whatever I imagined it to be and I had hours of fun playing underneath that card table...

    Hugs,
    Debbie
