Door Potting/Storage Shed Construction Updates...

The clock is ticking as Chris prepares to head back to his elementary schools.
Like with all construction projects, the door potting/storage shed has taken a bit longer than he anticipated.

It's really close to being done.
The insulation is in place, but the ceiling isn't finished.
He's allowed me to share a few pictures before the ENTIRE reveal.
As you can see, I managed to sneak some feminine touches into the interior.
We enjoyed a glass of wine in our special structure Saturday night.
Cheers to a busy summer!

  9. I love the idea of using those doors (recycling) them for such a structure! And I love how you painted them. I showed my contractor husband the photos and he thought it was so creative! And of course what is betterthan the great lighting you hung? :) Maggie

  14. It looks amazing, Kim! Of course, our projects always seem to take longer than we anticipate, but the finished product is well-worth the effort.

Yes, summer is winding down for your family, and school days are not far away once more. Our local schools began last Monday.

  17. Oh this is going to be so awesome! Thanks for the sneak peeks!

You know, when my hubs was younger, he was always doing projects. I wished he would have slowed down! But now that he's older and has arthritis he hardly does any projects and it's been a real adjustment.

My advice to up all is to embrace the season you're in because it will change soon enough! ♥

  27. Kim, This is such a fun idea! My brother-in-law built such a place out of doors as their swimming pool changing room. Too cute!
Our family reunion this year was at Silver Lake/ Yogi Bear Campground. What a fun place for children. I can't believe I dared to go on the sand dunes with my SIL as the driver. Love Michigan!
Hope your family is excited for school to begin again. Elizabeth

  30. I need a room or shed for storage of my bike. Outer temperature shouldn't affect it. Self storage in Kunda Park is also a popular facility.
