Dollhouse ghosts, Christmas candles and my sunroom mantle!

My Halloween dollhouse has a few new ghosts that have taken up residence.
I found these in the scrapbooking section of Michaels.
As you can see, I can't stop tweaking my little house.  The full reveal can be found on this post.
For my estate sale enthusiasts and collectors of vintage Christmas, you might want to recycle a few of your Christmas electric candles for Halloween.
Mine were inspired by Laurie (Magpie Ethel) who is the queen of embellishing electric Christmas candles.
I made these candles last year and had so much fun adding glue, glitter, stickers and chenille stemmed flowers, that I thought I should feature them again.  The decorating ideas are endless.
Our sunroom mantle has an owl-theme this year.
It's one of three mantles that I've decorated this year.
A few of my  diecuts are also featured in this area.
I wasn't kidding when I said every flat surface of our house is covered with Halloween this time of year.  Halloween hugs from my house to yours!

  5. I also remember those candles! I remember thinking that would have been a great idea if I hadn't sent mine off to the thrift store. It goes to show that I should just keep my hoard intact...lol!

  6. That nutcracker owl is wonderful!! May I ask where you found it? Each year you come up with such fun decor ideas for your home and the miniature ones. I am going to explore the candle ideas further on Laurie's sight. PS I hope to get to the Toronto miniatures show this weekend.

  7. I have those candles on my to-do list! I may just paint them orange and sprinkle some glitter (if I can manage to keep the glitter out of my eyes).

  8. Hi Kim,
Do I recognize the ghosts from Jolene brand scrapbook embellishments? I have that very same little owl that you have in that picture! Mine is on a shelf inside my dollhouse.
I so enjoy looking at all your Halloween and dollhouse decorations.

  16. Your house at Halloween is like my house at Christmas; no corner is without a Dept 56 village, no flat surface without a vignette of cuteness! Love it!

  23. I must say, that's a really clever way of playing with your sunroom. It's cool you put up an owl there. Owls are mostly associated with the dark, and to put them at a place that greets sunlight is just wicked. Day turns to night indeed, heheh. An awesome Halloween to you all!
