Weekend color...

On Friday, Chris and I headed 2.5 hours away to Traverse city. I presented at a teaching conference early Saturday morning and the girls stayed behind with our college niece.  Thank you, Jenny!

Chris and I were gone for less than 24 hours and had an absolutely wonderful time.

As you can tell, the northern fall colors are at their peak. Doesn't this picture look like a postcard?

 It was absolutely breathtaking.

We kept stopping on the side of the road to snap pictures of the foliage. This was our attempt to take a self-portrait.   Between you and me, I'm not fond of the beard but it's part of his Halloween costume.  A big week awaits trying to finish up decorations and transform the garage for the party on Friday.  I hope your weekend was filled with lots of unexpected surprises.

    Kim, I can't go so many days without looking at your blog because there's too much to catch up on!! Love these photos of fall- we don't get much of that down in Florida, so I have to live vicariously through photos. And your Halloween decorating continues to astound me- how I would love to come take a tour through your house this time of year!!!

    I went to West Virginia to do some consulting for Patch Adams and arrived to absolutely picture perfect autumn blaze. I gasped to myself in the car as I would round a bend on Droop Mountain and feel like I entered into a calendar picture. BEAUTIFUL Leaf Looking pix and you look pretty cute too!
