Back on this post, I shared a dollhouse kit that Erica (Golden Egg Vintage) gave me. The papers for the dollhouse kit were so sweet that I decided to make color copies so that I would have them to use over and over again. I spread out all my supplies on the kitchen counter and started playing earlier this week.
A heavy card-stock box has been transformed into a mini shadowbox.
The box was painted white.
I then enlarged one of my favorite vintage cottage images and put it on the backside exterior of the box and added a few miniature flowers and glitter.
The sides of the box are covered with the brick dollhouse kit paper.
The interior is filled with dollhouse furniture from a previous estate sale and a few miniature accessories from Michael's and Hobby Lobby.
I love the little milk bottles in the wire basket.
The blue speckled pot on the stove is pretty cute too.
Unlike big dollhouses, this one is easy to display and store.
In order to be entered in this Kim K. give-away, leave me a comment on this blog post.
Period. That's it.
Absolutely no strings attached and past winners are always encouraged to enter again.
* Entries close at 8:00pm EST Tuesday, February 25th.
* Winner will be picked randomly by one of my two girls (whoever happens to be home and eager to be my assistant).
Good luck!
Adorable . . . a perfect fun miniature to create while recovering . . . I like the milk bottles too!
ReplyDeleteThis turned out adorable, Kim! I love the idea of pasting illustrations of clocks, shelves, etc. onto the walls, when you don't have the real thing to use! You don't need to enter me in the giveaway (like I need another dollhouse!), but I just wanted to tell you how cute it was!
ReplyDeleteWow! It's just adorable! Maybe if I had one, I could figure out how to make another one. lol It would look so sweet on my shelf above my desk! Enjoy your day my friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness...I can always count on you to brighten my morning with clever cuteness! I have loved miniatures all my life, but seldom make tiny items...my big man hands can be pretty clutzy. The cottage illustration has been a favorite of mine for awhile now. Cute, cute, cute!

I love portable dollhouses, portable rooms, portable imagination stations. They're wonderful tools for developing tunnel vision, a keen eye to detail, and not feeling guilty about adding whatever touches of whimsy one would want in a dream space!
