Always eager to scout out thrifting opportunities, we spotted several second-hand stores near the a-frame cottage. Luckily, the need to run a few errands allowed for a bit of shopping on Saturday.
Fabulous book jackets = cottage reading for Emma (and me).
A tin picnic basket with orange/green plaid. It looks red in this picture, but it's actually very orange. I'm thinking future Halloween displays!
Several bags of spun heads (I'm feeling rather Magpie Ethel) were also rescued.
Colorful chairs (not second-hand) also came back to the cottage.
A new work-week continues. I can't wait to be back at the lake. This was the fog on the lake early Monday morning. When Chris doesn't have a power tool in his hand, the fishing pole is attached.
Love the dolly banner. I know you are having fun. Hyperlinked were amazing refinished. Like the different colored chairs. Enjoy.

ReplyDeleteSoooo lovin' the hair on the spun heads! Looks like a fun shopping trip:@)
ReplyDeleteLove the red picnic basket . . . would be gorgeous with an assortment of fresh greens for holiday time too . . .
ReplyDeleteReally cool photo of fishing in fog Chris . . . 2014 . . .
When I just skimmed through the photos and hadn't read the story yet (I do that with thrifting posts because I'm so excited to see what people find), I wondered why Chris was standing on the edge of an airplane wing. OK, so maybe it's also because it's early in the morning. It does look rather magical though doesn't it!
ReplyDeletefun finds! I love the foggy picture. You must be in heaven there!
ReplyDeletehave a great week
