We had hoped the floors were in as good of shape as the loft, but Chris was determined that they could be saved.
I'm so lucky that he's handy and very determined.
The girls and I returned home on Monday so that I could go back to work and Chris stayed behind to use the sander without supervision and extra feet on the floors.
The few pieces of furniture that had been brought to the cottage were moved onto the deck and Chris settled to work using a combination of sanders.
Just look at what he's accomplished!
With the floors finished, I now have a real bed too! No more sleeping on a couch!
Lots happening at the a-frame.

ReplyDeleteWhat a guy that Chris is! And the wood floors will be SO MUCH BETTER and easier to sweep up and keep clean than the carpet!
ReplyDeleteAnd a real bed too! Yay . . .
How long of a drive is it for you from the cottage to work?
I'm so proud of him, too! And glad the wood floors turned out so nice! Enjoy your Sunday! Tell that man to take a break and go fishing! Hugs, Diane
