I'm so spoiled.
Our cottage neighbors (to the right of us) are cleaning out their mother's cottage which had been used as a year round home.
She's now in a nursing home and her home is FILLED with lots of things.
Chris mentioned how much I love vintage Christmas and several boxes later, I ended up with lots of fun treasures.
On Saturday, the daughter walked over and dropped off another box of hand-painted Christmas ornaments.
I'm thinking of making a few shadowboxes with them (I need to give them some eyeballs first).
Who would have guessed that I'd even snag vintage Christmas on the lake!
XOXO
PS. We've been back and forth this weekend (good thing the cottage is only 45 minutes away). We had to retrieve Emma from Marching Band camp on Saturday. After having her gone for a week, it's so good to have her with us again. Chris has been busy with more construction progress at the lake house. The lower level is looking wonderful. I need to take lots of pictures of the latest happenings at the a-frame. Hope you've had a good weekend.
yes.. how lucky you are to have gotten to know some neighbors well enough already that they know you like vintage christmas! lol! thats awesome!
ReplyDelete45 minutes is pretty easy. everywhere I ever go seems to be at least 45 minutes or an hour away. the only thing close to us is the grocery store and thats 15 minutes away. other then that 45 minutes sounds close to me! lol!
glad youre enjoying!

ReplyDeleteI'm loving all your cabin posts. I'm living vicariously through you - what fun it would be to have a cabin! (One of my favorite things I found at my parents house was my grandparents guest book for their cabin.)
Adore your new header too.
Happy Sunday!
What wonderful vintage holiday things! You'll have so much fun with craft projects this winter. The summer is flying by. We're spending the rest of it in the mountains of NC. Nice and cool up here. Enjoy your day my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane

Wow! What fabulous neighbors! You are having the best summer ever!
ReplyDeleteI HATE YOU!!!! : )
ReplyDeleteI bet your neighbors are happy to pass all of that vintage Christmas along to you, because now they know how much you love it and that it's going to a good home. That's a few less boxes of decorations that you'll have to haul to the cottage! Oh I can't even imagine how pretty it will be in the winter. Maybe the lake will freeze over and be perfect for ice skating!
