This mantle is where all the fragile objects are displayed each year.
The really expensive ornaments that were given to me as gifts and need to be far away from little fingers and cat paws can be found on this mantle.
If you are a follower, you'll notice that my collection of Halloween-themed nutcrackers has grown again. I'm guilty of scouring Target the day after Halloween for clearance items.
A few years ago, my husband hung these windows above the mantle and I've been decorating them with vintage black and white Halloween photos.
One mantle down. Two more to go.
Have a fabulous weekend!
They look terrific! So artsy! That's a wonderful collection and you are smart to keep it away from the cat paws--I have the same situation here! Have fun decorating the other two mantles. Can't wait to see them. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think the best part is thinking about you putting the mantle together. Creating is the very best isn't it!

xoxo!
Mantle #1 looks fabulous. Love the Halloween nutcrackers. Been away on vaca and just catching up. Saw a couple doll houses for sale while antiquing in the sweet town we were visiting, thought of you. Held myself back because I could so see getting hooked!
ReplyDeleteKim, Everything is looking so great! My kids would just love your house at Halloween!
ReplyDeleteMy nephew's bday was last week, and my sister told me he wanted to decorate his bedroom for Halloween. So the kids and I bought some decorations for him (gross stuff like bloody handprints- perfect for a 9 year old boy!).
While we were looking at decorations, I actually got in the mood and bought a couple small things to decorate with myself! The kids love it, but I don't think I'll ever get up to your level of fabulousness!!
Kim,
ReplyDeleteLOVE the mantle!! Amazing!!
Okay, I do not have Halloween Nutcrackers...... I thought I was done buying for Halloween as I said in my last post but I guess not!! LOL!!
Hugs,
Debbie
