My own little house...

For ten dollars, this darling handmade dollhouse came home with me on Sunday from the Allegan Antique market.

I was smitten when I saw the tiny drilled holes in the window boxes (the $14 price tag which the vendor dropped to $10, didn't hurt either).

When I got home, I dug through my stash of vintage millinery flowers and filled each window box.

The interior needs a little updating.

Although my intention is to use it for additional storage in my craft room, I couldn't help but move in a few pieces of dollhouse furniture and storybook dolls.

I'm such a little girl at heart and I can't wait to start giving it a makeover.

I came home with several wonderful things from the Antique market. This is just the start. Get ready.

Broadway Camp

Emma has spent the last five mornings at theater camp and she's had a wonderful time.

Friday ended with an evening performance where the group sang a compilation of Broadway hits they had studied throughout the week.

Our family tradition after Emma's theater productions has been to go to one of favorite ice cream parlors to celebrate. It was well deserved.

Way to go, Emma.
We're so proud of you!

Fairy Cupcakes

Over the weekend, my best friend and I did some power shopping. We don't have a Homegoods near West MI and it's always a treat to visit this store when we go to Chicago. While shopping, I found this darling fairy cupcake kit and knew it needed to come home with me.

The tulle skirting is what caught my eye.

I also purchased this bottle of jewel candy sprinkles.

While Emma was at theater camp, Josie and I got busy creating special cupcakes.

They were almost too pretty to eat.

Scenes from Chicago...

We took a quick trip to Chicago to visit our best friends over the weekend. Here are a few of my favorite pictures taken from the front seat while Chris navigated the crazy Chicago traffic.

One of the evenings, we enjoyed the Lake MI shoreline and watched the development of a wicked thunder/rain storm.

Andrea and I indulged in some power shopping, while the girls and our hubbies, went to the Museum of Science and Industry.

All the hands-on activities and interactive displays always keep the girls wanting to come back for more.

A U-505 Submarine.
The only German submarine in the United States.

Petroleum Planet

I didn't take many pictures over the weekend, but take my word, time always flies by when we visit our best friends. There's always so much to see and do in Chicago and we have so much fun getting our families together. We're hoping to convince our friends to join us on our upcoming trip to Mackinac Island. Keeping our fingers crossed for future adventures together!!

Our first harvest!!

Would you like to see the first harvest from our vegetable garden? Come along!

Nothing is better than fresh vegetables, especially when they are picked by a very excited 5 year old!

Just in case you're wondering...

...my sunroom tree now sports a new theme. I was serious when I said it's a year-round tree. Gone is the patriotic decor which has now been replaced with strands of shells tied with raffia.

It's very simple, but it works.

I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing weekend!

Have a beautiful week ahead.
XOXO
