The kind of snow that makes commuting to work rather "interesting".
More snow is expected in our forecast over the weekend. Both girls got on the ice rink Thursday night after dinner. Their first skate of the new season!!
Chris and I are waiting a few more days of freeze time before we put our 'weight' onto the ice.
Stay cozy this weekend.I have a feeling lots of cocoa will be poured over the next couple of days.
XOXO
Hurray for the new rink! Yesterday it was frightfully cold here and we are expecting more of the same. I love all your photos and vignettes and especially that thermos. Safe commuting my friend.
ReplyDeleteI am getting tired of shoveling and clearing ice and snow. Sadly I have a feeling there is a lot more of that in my future this winter. We are supposed to get another storm tomorrow. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWinter Wonderland for sure! Your creations make it so special! We are getting snow tomorrow too. Gingerbread houses for us tonight! The kids can't wait. My son who is 14 still loves all the family fun. I feel so blessed about that! BRING ON THE COCOA!
ReplyDeleteNo shoveling snow in the Santa Clara Valley but we have had temps down into the high 20's in the mornings warming up to the high 40's or low 50's...pretty cold for us California folks! Love your decorations....the plaid is my favorite!! Happy skating!
ReplyDeleteSo delightful you make it! Holiday treats have arrived in full force this year with the early, every day snow, ice skating and all the color stories you create indoors. What fun for everyone!
ReplyDeleteFun snowmen and I love the way you caught the colors in the glitter on the house! Have a great weekend:@)
ReplyDeleteWow, you really have quite a bit of snow! Amazing they are skating already, your temps must really be freezing. Your home looks so festive and lovely, inside & out. Love your phase "interesting commute", it says it so nicely.
ReplyDeleteGoing to look at your putz house post now. My computer threw me offline last time as I clicked on, it must be electrifying!
:) Pam
Everything is so cute! I just adore that little snow shovel. What a fun find!
ReplyDeleteYour package came yesterday! I opened the box and removed the wrapped package with the house in it but haven't opened it yet! I put it under the tree because I LOVE the anticipation of it!
I did unwrap the mini scene in the cloche though and it's so cute! Thanks for the extra surprise. I feel honored to have won your give away!
Happy skating- don't break a leg!
♥
I'm loving the snow this year. It makes it seem much more Christmasy than in past years! Have fun sipping cocoa and watching the girls skate this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is a darling little shovel!
ReplyDeleteKeep warm & cozy with lots of hot chocolate! Sounds like a perfect way to spend a weekend!
Merry Christmas.
Deb
What a winter wonderland you live in! It's been cold around here too - well, at least for our standards :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy I don't have to contend with snow this weekend with my holiday show. Loving your cozy snowy scenes indoors and outdoors tho. That snow shovel is awesome! Enjoy the white stuff and get on the ice...
ReplyDeleteSweet snowman and decorations! Ice skating sounds so fun! Have a cozy weekend! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr... It sounds so cold. Make sure you make plenty of hot chocolate whether you go skating or not. Have fun this weekend.

OH! I love seeing all your decorations. I have a bin full of snowmen but I dont put most of them out until after christmas. there is no room for them yet! lol
ReplyDeleteOk.. so tis the season for me to be jealous again.. that ice skating rink! I cant even skate.. but I so wish I could.. I just love the idea of gliding around on the ice all bundled up in a pretty coat, with matching hat, scarf and gloves at night, under the lights with some big band music playing... Have fun!!

ReplyDeleteI am SO jealous!!!! LOVING that old shovel!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's strange we're getting so much snow. It usually waits til after Christmas. But, it's nice to finally have a white Christmas.
Glad the ice rink is done. Our ice finally melted, but it's still cold! Drinking lots of cocoa here, too. Love all your decorations, but that little snow shovel is too adorable!
ReplyDeleteEverything is so cute and the snow is just beautiful. The skating rink looks great and the girls look like they are having so much fun.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas

It looks amazing!! I guess it's more fun to think about the snow than to shovel it. :) But the idea of skating and hot cocoa is heavenly! :) Have fun!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your winter wonderland! Ice skating + hot cocoa = perfect winter weekend!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
Wish I could trade you some snow for some rain! We had a very light dusting a few weeks ago but nothing since. Love all of your decorations and snowmen are my weakness. Love those guys! The girls look like they are having such fun on the rink. Love it! Have a wonderful cocoa filled weekend, Holly
ReplyDeleteThe snow is still falling right now. We have received about a foot of the soft fluffy white stuff. Stay warm and yes~ lot's of hot cocoa ;-)

Your red vintage thermos collection is perfect amid all of your Christmas treasures. Your home looks oh so festive!!
ReplyDeleteI just adore your little vignettes all around!! You seriously have a knack for putting together little collections! And I'm just a tad bit jealous of the ice rink- although I'm shivering in 50 degree weather her, so I don't know if I'd be jealous for too long!!
