A working vacation at the a frame

This is definitely a working vacation rehabbing this cottage.
All the nasty carpet and padding is out.  In the mean time, we've covered the floor with heavy duty protective paper.
Next week, Chris is renting a sander and will attempt to restore the floors.  The girl's loft is all done and looks wonderful.
In the last 48 hours, I've wiped down more spider webs on walls than I've seen in a lifetime.
The dust was inches thick throughout the cottage.
Today, we are going to work on the lower level basement. The cottage smells a ton better already . Fresh paint downstairs should get rid of the last of the stink .
The best part is the view. The lake is amazing .
Chris and the girls have been catching fish right off the dock.
I'm going to be missing in action this week on everyone's blogs.  No internet yet at the cottage.   I updated the blog when I came home to grab more things to bring back to the cottage.
Have a wonderful 4th of July!  Be safe.  Have loads of fun!  I'll be back.  Pinky swear.

  1. I hope you take some time to enjoy the lake. It's a lot of work and it will take time to get it the way you want it. At least your hubby has some time to spend on it this summer. Lots of hugs, Diane
