Really I didn't.
But the price was right, it was in mint condition and it was full of Renewal furniture.
This 1948 T. Cohn home is in perfect condition.
Of course, this meant rearranging all my other homes to make space in my craft room.
I hope you found time to play this weekend.

Oh my, look at your new treasure and your other houses.
Plus everything that goes with them.
What fun . . . I used to love playing with my dollhouse.
What a great find Kim, and in such excellent attention!
ENJOY . . .
So cute! I can see why you couldn't resist it! Hope you have a great week!
How exciting Kim! We had a whole bunch of that same furniture at a previous sale I did. :)
Isn't it funny, you bring home one thing and you have to move everything around! Your room looks so fun!
Have a great week,
Gina
Oh it's so cute and looks like new. I love the way your workroom looks, it so cheerful and full of fun things. Enjoy your new treasure.
I love the roof and the little yellow chair on the patio:@)
I would have been playing with that all weekend! How perfect to have all the furniture and everything too! You scored! There's always room for one more! Maggie
Oh my, if you're on number 9, I don't think I'll tell you which number I'm on! I don't even know myself- I'd have to walk around my house counting!! What a super find though- you're right, most metal ones are rusted- so nice to have one is such great condition! And all that furniture- some of that goes for a pretty penny on Ebay!
OMG Kim! That looks BRAND NEW....and the furniture!!!! Awesome! You did great!!!! Love how you display them, sadly my Marx Mansion is in bad need of a cleaning...but I am going to wait until after dust storm season!
Some things in life are just not meant to be passed by. Glad you brought it home to live with the rest of your neighborhood!
It is beautiful! I just got that tiny pink washing machine too. I found time to play this weekend, I promise!
I just found your blog and enjoy it so much!! This dollhouse and furniture is amazing - what a great find! So nice that you have girls at home to play with you :) And it's lovely how you still have your childhood dollhouse and furniture - Hugs, Ann
Number 9? I think you need to have a nice round number, don't you? 10 sounds more fitting!
I never had a doll house and didn't know I wanted one until you started showing all this cuteness! If you ever go into Real Estate I may be your first client! Those pieces look like new...you didn't show toothbrush scrubbing and soaking in 409!
Kim,
I am totally smitten with this beauty because it looks so much like the one I had as a child!!
Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thanks too for stopping by!
Hugs,
Debie
Oh I love it Kim! I've been trying to see it all day, lol. For some reason my laptop couldn't open your blog, but my tablet did thankfully. It is all so sweet, I especially love the kitchen furniture. You couldn't leave that one behind no matter what number it is. :)
How exciting to find a new house in mint condition! It will be the perfect addition to your collection!
It's darling, Kim! I think you need a new room in your home just for your doll houses! I think of you whenever I see vintage doll houses:) What a lucky find!
It's amazing and I love the cute furniture. I'm so happy for you. I'd be happy for ME if I could just find one! hahaha! I'll keep it on my wish list and keep playing with my dolls. I'm having such fun making doll clothes this summer. Have FUN! Hugs, Diane
Wow! You must have been twirling and skipping all the way home! Happy for you!

Wow-I can't believe you have 9 dollhouses!! How fun that you have the room to display them all. I had a Marx dollhouse similar to the one on the left in your last pic. Since I live in a very small apartment, I didn't have room for it at all. So I donated it (minty condition) and all the furniture (for every room) to Salvation Army. I hope someone who loves dollhouses ended up with it! I have one of those 5 ft. tall Barbie houses plus a wooden one for the tiny dolls, but they take up all the room!!
