On Monday afternoon, I received a phone call at work from one of my husband's principals telling me that Chris was going to be honored with a teaching excellence award at their district wide school kick-off Tuesday morning. As you can imagine, it was so hard to keep it secret.

Congratulations to Chris! I am sure that this is well deserved, you must all be so proud. Not only is he a wonderful husband and father but also a wonderful teacher. In many ways he reminds me so much of my husband, who was also a career educator. You, as I have been, are very, very fortunate. I have a feeling that you also are great in your profession.
