There's a glow coming from the dollhouse...

I picked up these battery operated mini Halloween lamp posts at Menards.

I don't typically enjoy home improvement stores, but they actually have quite a bit Halloween decor right now.

I think they cast a rather festive looking glow against my keystone dollhouse.   I've had a productive weekend and I'm long overdue in thanking people who have sent me all kinds of treasures lately.  I promise to share pictures and proper thank you's later this week.

I'll be posting a Kim K. Halloween give-away first thing on Tuesday.  Be sure to check back.

It's beginning to look a lot like...

HALLOWEEN in my craft room!

I'm just getting warmed up with decorations.  If you want to visit another blog who equally loves Halloween, you must go visit my friend Viv.   Halloween hugs!

Nightfall in the craft room...

Due to my big-girl job, most of my crafting takes place after the girls are in bed or when I can spare a few hours here and there on the weekends.   It's a good thing I don't require a lot of sleep.  A few weeks ago, Magpie Ethel posted a picture of her studio at twilight and it made my heart skip a beat.   Although my craft room is only a tiny room with a single solitary window, it's still my very own room filled with all my favorite things.
A view of my craft room taken at dusk.

In between Varsity marching band obligations and overdue housekeeping/laundry, I'm hoping to finish up a few Halloween projects this weekend.   Have a thrifty/crafty weekend friends.  Happy Friday!

If you give a gnome a toadstool part 2...

Back on this post, you saw our solitary gnome and his collection of wooden bowl toadstools.

Since then, we've added a few more friends to our toadstool garden.  If you give a gnome a friend, he'll need a few more.

It just so happened that our local Goodwill had several elves/gnomes that were currently in between dwellings.

Josie is convinced that our newest additions will be getting into all kinds of mischief at Halloween.

Although they look like a sleepy bunch, we might just need to keep an eye on these woodland creatures.

Halloween sneak peeks...

After the girls went to bed Monday night, I wrapped up my Kim K. witch hat and festive goodies for my partner.   I'm participating in Viv's Halloween Swap which involved designing a custom-made witch hat filled with Halloween goodies.

Lori...don't look if you want to stay surprised.

My hat started out as a hand-made party hat that was redesigned with a glittery witch's brim.

This is the back-side of the hat.

As you can tell, I have a thing for crepe paper ruffles.  I must have gone through 2 rolls of crepe paper on this hat. Other embellishments include glittery spiders, a darling witch girl graphic and "eek" tag.

I'll be including these other Kim K. treasures, along with a glow-in-the-dark-beaded bracelet and Halloween candles.

It was a lot of fun to participate in this swap and I can't wait to see other people's witch hat designs over the next few weeks.  I promise to share a few other Halloween Kim K. creations with my blogging friends in the very near future.  As I've said earlier, I love giving away my creations as much as I enjoy making them. A no strings-attached Halloween giveaway will be happening sometime next week.

Halloween hugs!
