Hearing Tests & Plane Anticipation

Josie met with an audiology technician this afternoon to get her hearing tested. Although she's talking up a storm, she's extremely LOUD! Thankfully, her hearing is fine. She's just THUNDEROUS.

Ever since we met Kimberely's daughter at the airport, we've been talking about our upcoming plane trip to D.C. Every morning it's the same conversation with Josie.

Josie: Is today plane day?

Me: No. Not today. In a few more days.

Josie: I want to go on the plane today. Is today plane day?

Me: No. Not today.

I can't wait to get our suitcases packed and we've boarded our flight so that this circular conversation will stop. Our last plane trip was her return flight from China. It was HELL. 19 hours of screaming, crying and minimal/nonexistent sleep. This is a very short flight in comparison. This should be much better experience...right? Can I admit, I'm a bit nervous about hauling luggage, a laptop, my purse/digital camera, a stroller and a busy toddler through 2 different airports. Good thing Chris is up for the challenge and Emma can carry her own luggage!!

Guess who has internet!!
I'm trying to catch up on my bloggy friends.
DC, huh? I'll have to go back and read all about it.
I just HAD to comment on Josie's thunderous voice. Lili is the LOUDEST CHILD ON EARTH! Jeff is always concerned that her hearing's going (it's not). It always sounds like she's talking into a coffee can. SOOOOOOO loud and echoey. Unbelieveable.
I've heard that from other China moms too. No volume control......nice!
And don't even get me started on the circular converstations.
Remember the Lili/lily flowers conversation?
We don't tell Lili anything in advance because she has no concept of time.
Have a fantastic trip.
Off to read your previous posts :)
Hugs!

I am so glad her hearing test went fine. I am sure all will go well with your trip to DC, she is much older and she has adjusted to you.

Yes, Ellie is quite thunderous as well, and we've had her hearing tested too. All normal....I think she's just seeking attention.

I so do not look forward to the flight to South Africa, 15+ hours, but I am also glad Ellie won't be along. I do dread getting all that luggage through the airport.....hopefully, the men along the mission will be helpers.

Sophia is really loud too. We need to have her hearing checked as well. I hope all goes well on the airplanes, I'm sure that it will.
You guys are going to have a great time!
