Our nephew (Liam) had a Harry Potter birthday over the weekend and my mother put together amazing invitations and hand-sewn robes.
As you can imagine, Chris had several Harry Potter items to loan for the birthday festivities. He even became Dumbledore for the day.
The kids made wands with wooden dowel rods and pipe cleaners. This was a popular activity at last year's Halloween party.
The kids had a scavenger hunt for golden snitches that were strategically placed throughout the yard.
It was a lovely 10th birthday party. It's also a sneak peek at some of the things we hope to do at our upcoming Halloween party.

Oh what fun! Your mother gets as carried away as you do! Double wow!
My mouse event in CA next May has a Harry Potter type theme. I hope I can come up with great ideas in miniature.
Thanks for sharing!
I am totally laughing because I seriously JUST! WATCHED! the first Harry Potter movie on Friday night. What made us do that? I have no idea. We didn't have any from Netflix hanging around and just pulled it from our DVD library. Great party ideas... y'all are SO creative! It must run in the family.
How fun!!! looks like everyone had a great time! I guess partying runs through your family!
Wow! I bet everyone had a great time!
That is a seriously cool Harry Potter party!! You thought of EVERYTHING! Were those witch hats made of cake? How in the world did you do that?
Kim,
Yes the talent for crafts and parties is found in the DNA with your family! I know that your nephew felt extra special with this party...What a great one!
J.J. has his NASCAR party coming up this weekend. He is over the moon with excitement.
