Big foot!

I haven't talked about my left foot in awhile. I've been officially cast free for a week!

However, not walking for nearly two months has done a number on my left foot. With the continued swelling and larger-than-normal foot, I've started referring to myself as big foot.

My whole left leg/foot is so darn weak and stiff.   I've started physical therapy and I'm looking forward to being able to wear more than BIG athletic shoes in my future.
We've got our annual Lake MI cottage getaway the end of the month and I want to be able to wear cute sandals again! I definitely have a whole new appreciation for my feet after this whole ordeal.  Take care of your feet, ladies.

Kim, congratulations on being cast free, such a long ordeal. I hope the physical therapy brings back your strength and range of motion. I completely agree with you that you can't ignore your feet. I save shoes without support for small doses when I don't plan to walk too much (otherwise you will find me in my Naots or have you heard of El naturalistas? they have some comfy, but stylish sandals too). Have a great day!

Whew - I know you will enjoy a little foot freedom. You never know how much you miss cute shoes until you Can't wear them. Good luck with PT - do what they say, you'll be 'on your toes' in no time.

I hope your foot is in tip top shape in time for your trip.. but youre a trooper, so even if its just a little less then perfect.. you'll still have a wonderful time.. hobbling around. HOws your back holding up? I've always found that if somethings off with one of my feet or knees that it sends my back out of wack!
have a great day Kimmie!

Amen- I hear you. I have had a "bad foot" since last November and it just drives me nuts. I finally gave away several pairs of shoes that I knew I would never be wearing again. I hope you get back in your sandals soon! xo Diana

Hurray for cast removal!!! Fingers crossed you're feeling spunky and more like yourself for your big trip :)

Hopefully that feeling will go away soon. It is a terrible feeling when the cast is just off.
I have had alot of foot/leg problems and it is so hard.
Good luck on the therapy and have fun on your vacation.

Did I hear you say, 'go get a pedicure?!?' Well, that sounds like a good way to take care of my feet!

I agree with Tammy. Go get a pedicure. At least your big foot will be a stylish one.

Glad the cast is off and the reference to Big Foot made me chuckle. Foot issues will forever pester me - flat feet, orthodics in my shoes...cute little sandals just don't work for me. Hope you are in those cute little summer shoes soon...

Best wishes now with your rehab - those sandals are beautiful & will be quite a nice reward!

Hooray for no more cast or boot!
You must have lots of pedicures to get those feet adorable!
Here's to hoping for healthy feet!
