No shortage of outdoor winter fun!

We've had several years without a white Christmas and so it's been wonderful spending so much time outdoors getting fresh air and loads of winter exercise.
Chris has been staying on top of our ice rink with his homemade zamboni.
I think I shared his creation last year on the blog.
It's pcv piping with several holes drilled into the piping. A joga mat smooths the water onto the ice.
The hose is connected to our water heater in our furnace room.  The process if fairly involved, but Chris has it down to a science.
As you can imagine, we're still loving the addition of the extra lighting over the rink.
This is a view of the ice rink from our sunroom.   Isn't it a pretty?
There is definitely no shortage of winter fun in West Michigan right now.

Yes, it is pretty! I think when you live that far north you just grow up with an appreciation for outdoor winter sports. A bit different here. We hibernate instead.

Hi Sweet Kim! I just cannot imagine life in such a winters climate! It's much colder here in the mountains than in the desert where I work all week, but compared to having an ice rink in the backyard, it's warm! Your girls are so darling! Thank you so much for scanning the little box, Damita told me it came from you. I've had such fun making them!

That looks like so much fun! It looks like what Christmas vacation should be (instead of the rain and mud we've had here for the last few days).
