Great pumpkin plans!!

Shall we take a stroll to our vegetable garden?
Past the treehouse/gardening shed and my beloved gnome house is a sunny patch of land.
This is where the vegetable garden resides.
Every year we have big plans for a huge harvest of pumpkins.
Maybe the pumpkins know our true intentions and encourage their woodland friends to invade our garden.

This year, we have special things in place.
We now have a motion/heat sensor activated sprinkler.  Thank you Mom and Dad!
We also have fencing like Fort Knox.
We also have this dandy scarecrow.
Peter Rabbit, you'd better tell your friends to stay away.

Boo!

I never heard of that kind of sprinkler. That should do the trick to keep the bunnies away. Sorry but the scarecrow looks too nice and friendly to scare anyone :) The bunnies might want to stay and chat with him! I grew pumpkins last year however our problem was not the animals but for some reason my pumpkins were too soft :( I think your garden will be a big success. Hugs, Maggie

Fun! We had a pumpkin patch in our backyard one year -- it tried to take over the entire lawn! But we loved the pumpkins! Can't wait to see yours!

Hope that works!! I don't know. Maybe if you plant a few outside the fence specifically for the animals, they will leave the harder-to-get-to ones inside the fence alone. ???

What a cute scarecrow! Good luck with your pumpkins. I planted some too though I never have very good luck with them. Yeah, we have varmits too which is why we have an 8 foot electric fence.

Blessings

Good luck with the gardening! My hubby is busy trying to figure out a way to keep the herd of crows out of our bird feeders!! He filled all 5 of them up late Saturday evening and when we woke up early Sunday morning they were all empty!! The crows rake the food out of the feeders and onto the ground. I don't mind them eating, they have to eat too I guess, but don't make a mess and save some for the pretty birds too!
Enjoy your week!
Hugs,
Lynn

Wonderful garden! Looking forward to seeing all your pumpkins. I'm always thinking of fencing in my garden too - to keep my dogs from tramping through the beds!

Exciting . . . They have to grow and thrive, maybe even a HUGE one for you the Halloween King and Queen . . .

LOVE your header, gorgeous!

Looks like you should grow some great pumpkins this year. We tried once, and got 3 small ones. Still fun! Too many critters here too.

We just planted our first garden this year and it has been so much fun to watch it grow. I will keep you posted on our pumpkins too! Good luck!

Wow. I'm anxious to see if this works. Maybe the bunnies don't mind the rain though. They do live outside :)

How awesome that you have your own pumpkin patch, especially since Chris is a master carver! Be sure to provide progress updates, the sprinkler system is such a great gift.

Oh, my kids would be jealous- we've got a little vegetable garden, and the kids wanted pumpkins, but we don't have near enough room! And I've never heard of that kind of sprinkler- I'll have to tell my husband about it!
