As soon as school was out last Tuesday, we headed to our A-frame cottage for some extended time.
From door to door (in good weather), it's a quick 40 minutes!Have I said how much I love being able to spread out my Christmas collections between two places?
Makes me feel less guilty for continuing to find and rescue vintage Christmas items from estate sales.
I think I love our cottage even more in the cooler months.
It's quiet.
It's cozy. That new furnace makes a HUGE difference!
I can pretend that we are nestled in the mountains somewhere.
Going for walks in the snow around the lake is extremely peaceful.
While we were out for a morning walk, I spotted this camper. Wouldn't it be fun to decorate for Christmas? Chris was very quick to tell me "no more restoration projects" and to get out of the neighbors yard.
We have so much to be thankful for. Christmas break is going to be so much fun at the A-frame!
If you didn't sign up, I'm doing a Kim K. no-strings Christmas give-away on this post. Happy December!

So pretty, peaceful and restful looking, something we all need a little of this time of year.
Ha, ha...can't blame Chris for shooing you out of that yard. Something about vintage campers that vintage lovers can't resist. :)
The A frame looks wonderful . . . So happy you love the wintery days there too. (I agree, that camper would be fun to make Christmasy!)

I love that you get to get to spend extended time and enjoy ALL seasons! How beautiful. I know you have made the A Frame into a Kim K. dollhouse! Oh, Chris..Chris, Chris, Chris..You know and I know that a little retro RV camper is in your future. Lets not kid ourselves. It's in the stars! "No" means "I'm already thinking about it" hahahaha Maggie

Oh so fun! Oh yes, I need a second home too so I can collect more stuff! we're running out of room here at the cottage. :D
Every time I mention loving those vintage trailers, my hubs just looks at me like I'm speaking in another language! Ha-ha! At least your husband replies!
Every time we put our cabin lot on the market, we change our minds. My fantasy was for a little cabin of our own. The lot is in the mountains above Mount Pleasant with about a 170' of stream frontage. I pictured sitting on the deck and listening to the sound of the water and spending Christmas or New Years eve there with our kids. I don't know if we will ever build, but your A-frame stories help satisfy my Christmas in the Country fantasy.
I love Josie playing with her own little A Frame! Cutie pie.
Oh your a frame cottage is the cutest and coziest!! I just love it!! I can feel the coziness through your pictures! Such a great picture of your sweet girls!! And oh my goodness that camper is so cute, it would be perfect decorated!! xo Holly

I'm so jealous you get to decorate TWO homes for Christmas! And yes, I totally agree that the camper would have been so fun to redecorate. That picture even seemed sweet enough to frame as a Christmas photograph. Feeling the love!
