Icebergs AHEAD!

On Saturday, we traveled to South Haven to get our Lake MI fix and were pleasantly surprised to find out they were having their Ice Breaker festival.
We then ventured out to the pier carefully making our way through frozen mounds of solid snow and ice.
It was amazing to see the Lake Michigan ice floes in the channel colliding into each other.

There's something really powerful about seeing the mighty lake in the winter.
On Sunday, the snow and wind began and didn't let up until early Monday.

The girls and Chris are home today with our recent recent storm.   I'm getting caught up on a zillion projects at work today.

Happy February, friends!

It's all just SO beautiful! I would love to see the lake like that - it's really majestic. It is cold here 18 degrees - but still no snow. Doing a little snow jig as we speak. Ok, I'm not. But, I want some snow! Stay safe and stay warm!

Kim,
It looks so beautiful, but I know it can be treacherous to drive in and such, so do stay safe! Pretty ice sculptures too!
blessings to you and yours

Brrrr! Looks cold! But you and your family seem to have the most interesting adventures. I've never seen any of the Great Lakes in person...maybe I need to take a trip to Chicago to visit my dad.

They really do need to have more snow days at college! What's the deal with that? I love seeing your lake photos even if you all look pretty cold :)

Sorry you didn't have a snow day also. I get chills just looking at the ice on your lake, but it sure is magnificent! Cute family photos!

How beautiful! I pray for snow. Just doesn't happen much in Georgia.

Seriously, I just cannot fathom being in the wintery-cold like you are! It was over 80 today on the playground. Our great country has sooooo much diversity! It looks beautiful, but I wonder, how do you drive? Here in the desert - if it rains - we all freak out!

That lake is gorgeous! It's so hard to picture something so massive in a different state than regular, unfrozen water. How cool that must have been to see up close!
