Aunt Jean & Aunt Marion gave Josie several princess dress-up outfits for Christmas...what little girl doesn't deserve to be a princess!!!
Josie and I decided to decorate a box and turn it into a trunk fit for a princess. I covered the box with wood grain contact paper purchased from our local grocery store and then picked up a bunch of jewel stickers at Michael's.
As much as I wanted to control the placement of the stickers, it's Josie's trunk and I let her decide where to put them on the box.
It's rather lovely...don't you think?
Crafting with a toddler should always be this much fun.

Oh, cute!!!!
I'm so behind on following your blog, Miss Super-blogger :-))
Love, Barb
Very cute! I think Lili's almost grown out of her 'dressing like a princess everyday' phase, so enjoy it!
I know what you mean about giving up control, especially craft-wise. Josie, however, did a most excellent job :)
very cute idea for the dress up treasure box.
Beautiful princess.
Kim,
You and I have so much in common! I just love paper dolls. . .In fact there are several waiting up in our attic space for Tori to get a bit older. (Right now, she likes to rip paper too much.) Some are mine, but before we even had Jonathan, I bought some discounted that are based on fairy tales. The first Christmas we were in our house I even decorated a tree with them.
And. . .Tori has a similar dress-up set waiting for her third b-day party this month. She has asked for a Disney princess party, so I have been discount hunting since last Spring. I wished that we lived closer so that Josie could come and wear her beautiful princess clothes. (But, as you already know, she is a beautiful princess without them, just as Emma is too!)
And I have a hard time, too not directing the crafting process with J and T. Wow, is it hard to let them go their own way when it comes to that! But, Josie did a beautiful job. . .You and Emma have guided her well!
Have a great time with decorating your new craft area!
Many "princess" hugs,
Cindy
