Emma had a day off from school on Monday. We could have stayed home, but without the four-year-old to slow us down, we ventured out for a trip to the beauty salon, hit all our favorite stores, enjoyed a bite to eat at Olga's Kitchen, and then came home in time for Emma to model a few new outfits before Dad and Josie arrived to see all the "new" purchases.
I even convinced Emma that we needed to squeeze in a trip to my favorite antique store for some inspiration.
All in all, a splendid day... but the budget was definitely blown. Maybe it's a good thing that my work/University is far away from the malls. This could be a dangerous habit.
PS. Stock up on some felt and cupcake liners.
Tea parties and felt cupcakes are on the agenda next.
What fun you big girls had! Cute ideas at the antique store....is that the one on Chicago Dr.? Just added some Valentine things to my holiday decorations. Youngest son is coming home this weekend and I want the house to be festive! We will head up north so I will have a day in TC. Hope to hit some fun shops. thanks for sharing your fun!
In 2008, we traveled to China to adopt a toddler who needed
heart surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot and hand surgery to remove an extra thumb. I'm always happy to share our experience with SN adoption. When I'm not at work, you might find me at an thrift/antique store or estate sale. I also love to sneak in a craft project and decorate our multiple dollhouses with my girls.
Come play with me!

In 2008, we went to the Jiangxi Province to adopt a little girl who needed open-heart surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot and hand surgery to remove an extra thumb. I'm always happy to share our experience with a SN adoption with others.
When I'm home from work, I love to sneak in a weekly craft project or a trip to my favorite antique/thrift stores. Come play with me!

Emma has spot on fashion sense as any good tween should. And sometimes, a major spree is a necessity.
Looks like a FUN time. Lili just got a pair of cowboy boots too!
