Family time, Football time!

Having worked at GVSU for 11 years, I've never attended a football game (don't judge). Our niece is a Sophomore at GVSU and when her mom (Chris's sister...aka Aunt Shelly) came into town to spend some quality time with her daughter, we decided to get into Laker spirit and attend their final game of the season against Saginaw Valley.

Sunny weather and fantastic playing
made for an awesome game!

In the evening, we took the family (and a few extra friends/roommates) to Kopper Top for a hearty dinner.

Chris and I have decided that if we ever owned a restaurant, this is the place we'd own.

They decorate for every single holiday.

Halloween and Fall Harvest were the themes on Saturday night. Forgive the cell phone shots, but the restaurant was packed and quite the sight to behold!

Thanks for a great weekend, Shelly & Jennifer!

Good for you! We are both alumnae of GV and have yet to go to a game. I was even a cheerleader before they had a football team-only cheered for basketball games. How the years have zoomed by!
I heard a rumor that you now have some help with the big Christmas surprise...hurray!
Thanks for sharing your fun!

looked like perfect football weather.. Im not a big fB fan, but some of my kids are. I always find something else to do if they are watching a game! however, going to a game in person, with people you love... well thats a whole different story! cute pics!
have a great week

What a fun night with family. I love football season even though I can't find the ball!

I had so much fun, I cannot even begin to put it in writing. The entire weekend was what I needed. I spent quality time with my daughter, I enjoyed spending time with you and Chris and the girls, and dinner at Kopper Top was the most enjoyable Family Dinner I have had in too long. Thank you for spending the weekend with me. Love you all and can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving! <3
