The birthday tree...

As you all know, the sunroom tree is a permanent year-round fixture in our house.  A family tradition has been to decorate it for approaching holidays (and some made-up holidays) as well as birthday party themes. To honor Emma's request for a more sophisticated feminine birthday party,  I dug through my stash of silk flowers, tulle and vintage paper lanterns.

It's been given the "official" Emma stamp-of-approval.  I'm not done with party decorations.  I've got a few more ideas swirling around in my busy head.

I knew you would come up with something that she approves of. Her birthday will be just as special as always with a little bit of grown up sophistication! lol!
and thank you for your prayers for jacob. I wondered if any of jacobs heart conditions were the same as Josies.
I truly appreciate your prayers and your friendship!
have a great day

The "Emma tree" is stunning!!! I love the use of tulle and lanterns, really beautiful. I really do enjoy your posts about your trees. It must be fun and memorable at the end of the year to review the photos of how the tree has been decorated throughout the year.

Emma's tree is pretty as can be! The chandelier lights up the room without a light being switched on. You have such fun style and you actually bring it to life in your home.
