Queen Anne's Lace

Back in February I shared some pictures of the land behind our home on this post.
It's gorgeous throughout the various seasons.
Currently, it's filled with lots of Queen Anne's Lace/weeds.

We've found that pants and long sleeves are necessary when exploring.
Soon the leaves will be changing.

Summer has gone by much too fast.

Our grandchildren actually have their first day of school today! In our local county, this past Monday was the first day. Yes, it seems the summer has passed much too quickly!

Summer is going by quickly! But a beautiful season is coming--Fall! My Mom used to dry Queen Anne's Lace! You can buy a spray in the craft store that will almost freeze it. I think my Mom also used a heavy hairspray to dry flowers such as Aqua Net. They would look lovely in a vintage vase! Maggie/Maggie's Lil' Fixins

How gorgeous is that last photo? You're so lucky to have such a beautiful spot nearby...

It's lovely. (And so are all of you.) How lucky you are to have all that open space next to your property.

aw- sweet pics of you and the girls!

Oh how I miss having acres in my back yard to walk on! Enjoy!

I have such mixed feelings about summer coming to a close. It's been so hot for so long that I'm getting sluggish but fall means winter is after that and I don't love winter at all! ♥

What a beautiful spot, Kim! I love Queen Anne's Lace. Hopefully it isn't full of poison ivy, we have a ton of it around here!

Queen Anne's Lace is a awfully pretty for being a weed!My heat came on last night. It's August for Pete's sake. I do love fall, but I think it's rushing itself this year.

I love queen anne's lace Kim!! I have some in a mason jar as we speak! My mother-in-love taught me how to dry it, by pressing it into a book. then using a little glue, you can gently sprinkle glitter on them and make snowflakes. So pretty, but very delicate. :)

Hugs,
Debbie

I love Queen Anne Lace. I once saw a bouquet outside near a restaurant filled with the lace . . . Gorgeous! (The large antique container helped the look and ambiance.).

I save the pod from Queen Anne Lace, along with milk weed pods, cat tails and more for my fall bouquets. Purple Tumbleweed too!
