Way back at Christmas, Santa delivered a trampoline which has been sitting in our basement the last five months.
Santa got an amazing deal on this item because it was off-season. With the last of snow behind us, the trampoline has been assembled behind the girl's special treehouse.
I grew up with a trampoline back in the late 70s early 80s, and safety netting sides didn't exist.
I'm glad safety nets are now fairly standard because as you can see, Josie has been practicing her Ninja warrior moves and acting out the characters from Kung Fu Panda.
I think Josie's summer will be spent defending our backyard from all kinds of villains. Happy "almost" weekend!

Oh- How our kids love their trampoline. As teenagers they would sleep out under the stars on it at our cottage...or have giggling fits lying under it. No safety nets were available back then and we only ever had one minor injury with all the dozens of kids that jumped on it. xo Diana
BY THE WAY--The pictures of your kids are just darling on there! I got so nostalgic seeing it that I forgot to tell you that. They will have a BALL this summer!
Oh my! That looks like such fun! Have you tried it yet? We need pictures, too! heehee! Enjoy your evening my friend! Hugs!
Can you believe I have never been on a trampoline? Your children are adorable! Enjoy!
Ninja moves huh? What fun. I had a friend who had a trampoline in her yard. Hers was dug into the ground so the surface of the trampoline was level with the grass. No falling off. We used to jump and jump and jump!
What a bummer the girls had to wait 5 months before getting to play with their Christmas present.
We didn't have a lot of safety items, but we still survived.

Oh my gosh...first an ice skating rink and now this...be still my heart, these are both dreams of things I used to love to do. What fun!
Such fun they will have on the trampoline . . .
Granny in the North votes for the safety nets!
Adorable pictures BTW and adorable girls!
How fun:@)
lol! looks like a blast.. well for them anyways.. the last time I got on a trampoline was only about 8 years ago.. and I could barely walk for days after!

Oh, that looks like so much fun!! Hope she has a wonderful summer, keeping an eye on intruders. My brother had a trampoline set up so the kids could bounce from it into their swimming pool. I don't know if OSHA ever stopped by, but the kids sure had a blast!
Yngwie had a trampoline and had a ball with it. Truth be told...so did I! I loved jumping on that thing and turning flips, just like a big kid!
Glad winter is finally out of there!
Blessings

What fun. I remember my cousins had one and we had a blast. More memories in the making my dear.

That looks like so much fun! I expect to see photos of you and Chris on it this summer. Enjoy your weekend. Hope it involves some awesome estate sales!
Wow -- what fun! Maddy would love one of those too!
Looks like the girls are having a blast on their new trampoline. How fun to be a child again :)
Oh, what fun!! And, a fun summer they will both have jumping on it! Happy weekend! xo Heather
Looks like fun times ahead. So glad you were able to put the ice rink away and move on to some summer fun.
Cute! When I worked for an orthopedic surgeon trampolines helped keep him in business. Glad you have safety net sides. :)
They look like they're having so much fun! I've gone back and forth with the idea here. We had one when I was a teenager, and I remember some of our spills from it- I think I'd be a nervous wreck watching the kids on one, even with the safety nets!
And I'm drooling over some of your finds in the last post- those dolls are adorable, as is the vintage stocking!
Josie's face looks so serious in the last photo! The girls and their friends are going to love the trampoline! So nice to see the bits of green in your yard!
Oh I just read what Diana said! A sleep out on a trampoline would be so fun...for young people. LOL
We didn't have one growing up, and neither did any of our friends. Probably a good thing though, as I would for sure have broken something. Glad there are safety nets now!
Erica :)
Oh my word! What a blast! We are soooo jealous! A trampoline is on our current wish list! Where did Santa find it? We must do the same thing and buy it during the winter!
