I can’t wait to show you my mantle. Ohhhh I love it so much I couldn’t stop peeking at it when it was all done and the boxes were put away. If you walked into my living room and stood in front of my fireplace, you would visit a Christmas village made of cardboard and glitter. There's something so cozy about little houses and churches.
I've been collecting houses for my village for several years and a few weeks back, I purchased a bag of houses from a local thrift store in need of some tender loving care.
I told you that the stash of Martha Stewart glitter (clearanced after Halloween) would come in handy! And, did you notice where my snowflake garland ended up?
From the time I was a little girl and my mother gave my sister and I our first doll house, I have been fascinated by anything miniature. I remember wanting to make myself teeny tiny so that I could live in my dollhouse. I'm so glad Emma still enjoys playing with my dollhouse. And while I'm confessing, I also used to sneak our hamster out of her cage and put her in our dollhouse wondering how she just might like her new living quarters. Michelle, I can see you laughing as you read this post. Admit it, little sister, you used to do it too.
Don't you just love decorating for Christmas? What's on your mantle?

I think I'll just start calling you Mrs. Glitter. You may laugh, but we did some crafts with the kids this afternoon, and as I sprinkled glitter on a project, I was thinking to myself "Oh, Kim would be so proud of me right now"
Too funny that you're showing your glittery wonderland tonight.
Love, Barb
Oh, the kids - sorry, I bet you realized that the above comment was from me :-)

LOVE it!
Bet you're loving the snow...all we got was the wind and cold and a dusting.
It looks like east/south Michigan is pretty much shut down.
Do you have a snow day today?
