All good things must come to an end...

It's officially over (see this post for picture and Halloween party highlights) and it's always bittersweet when Halloween comes to an end at our house. Because the weather was downright nasty on Friday night, I didn’t take any outdoor pictures. Here are a few shots of my husband’s amazing pumpkin carvings.

See...I’m not the only one with crafty talent in our house. Chris is the master at pumpkin carving.

It was so cold Halloween night (and the girls were honestly tired of wearing their costumes after wearing them in Disney World, their Friday school parties and then at our own party), that they didn’t even dress up for trick or treating.

Josie's favorite part was passing out candy.

It's Daddy's too.

I'm dreading putting everything away. Anyone want to join me in packing up a few Halloween decorations? Pretty please?

Happy Halloween!

The Halloween party was a smashing success. Chris and I counted nearly 100 guests in attendance. Despite the dreary rainy weather, it was a wonderful night.

Here are a few pictures of our family taken before the party started.

Isn't our face painter wonderful?

Josie and I were both witches, so she gave us matching make-up.

Here a few shots taken during the party.

Happy "official" Halloween from the Kenward family.

Have a safe and fun evening trick-or-treating!!

One last picture before the party

Josie is off to preschool. They were to dress in their Halloween costume. She was very excited about her school party. Hopefully, her broom doesn't become a weapon in the classroom.

With all this heavy rain, Chris can't get our outdoor lights to work anymore. I swear he's going to end up lighting himself on fire trying to figure out a solution.

Get ready for lots of party pictures.

Happy Halloween from the Kenward family!!

Another helping of Halloween madness...

We've been busy transforming our garage...would you like to see a sneak peek?

Amazing what a plastic black tarp, a sponge mop and some left over paint can turn into. Not only does it look nice and creepy, it covers up all the "stuff/junk" in the garage.

We've got a long way to go, but it's a good start. This is what it looked like last year.

Once the lights and garland are hung, the whole garage becomes festive.

I'm ready to test out the popcorn machine and Josie has insisted on rearranging the sucker tree at least fifty times.

If you need one last easy way to add a little Halloween inside your home, take this bat template, print it out on black paper, or trace onto black construction paper, and tape inside your lamp shade.

Pretty spooky, wouldn't you agree? You might even tuck this idea away in case you have a batman themed birthday party in your future.

Only a few more days until Oct 30th!!

Recipe for a festive Halloween party

Too many carnival games to count
1 easy craft activity for the little ones
Endless over-the-top Halloween decorations

= 2.5 hours of fun, oodles of happy faces in fun costumes, and loads of sweet sticky fingers

Only a few more days until Oct 30th!!

PS. Even my witch hat gets a make-over for this year's party!

Happy soon-to-be Halloween!
