Our eggs-traordinary reveal!!

When Despicable Me came out this past summer, we fell in love with the minions in the movie.

You can't help but adore those little yellow characters and their silly language.

Introducing our Easter egg minions...

If I would have had more time (and patience) we would have had a whole army of minions. The minions are constructed from a pair of Josie's outgrown jeans, googly eyes, black marker, blue ribbon, wooden hearts painted blue (for their feet), black & yellow pipe cleaners, and lots of hot glue. I can't tell you how often I had visions of dropping those very special eggs while using the hot glue gun.

While Emma and I were busy with the minions, Josie decorated her Easter eggs with special stickers. As you can imagine, the owl stickers are my favorite.

Have a lovely Monday.
The Easter countdown continues!!

PS. These two pictures were taken at 6:30am.

The snow is actually sticking...sigh.

You aren't creating a minion army? Those are adorable and so fun. The stickers are sweet too. All grown up kids here and no egg dying so enjoying yours all the more.

My friend Diane and her daughter made minons this weekend, too. When J.J. saw what they did, he has put in his order for these. Once I show him your post, it will certainly be sealed for our Saturday egg decorating fest...especially since his cousins will be coming for Easter dinner.

I have almost finished my peat pot baskets...I have to do things in stages when I craft! I am pleased with the way they are turning out.

Have a great Monday!
PS...What a great basket swap! You received some lovely things.

Ack...I messed up reader last night and I have been waiting all day for this...love it. One of my favorite things to do with photos is to see the characters that were popular. This is perfect. I wondered what was up with the yellow. I need to go fix my reader now....Renee
