Scenes from Chicago...

We took a quick trip to Chicago to visit our best friends over the weekend. Here are a few of my favorite pictures taken from the front seat while Chris navigated the crazy Chicago traffic.

One of the evenings, we enjoyed the Lake MI shoreline and watched the development of a wicked thunder/rain storm.

Andrea and I indulged in some power shopping, while the girls and our hubbies, went to the Museum of Science and Industry.

All the hands-on activities and interactive displays always keep the girls wanting to come back for more.

A U-505 Submarine.
The only German submarine in the United States.

Petroleum Planet

I didn't take many pictures over the weekend, but take my word, time always flies by when we visit our best friends. There's always so much to see and do in Chicago and we have so much fun getting our families together. We're hoping to convince our friends to join us on our upcoming trip to Mackinac Island. Keeping our fingers crossed for future adventures together!!

XOXO

Oh, what fun! I don't blame you in choosing shopping over the museum...although it is a terrific museum, a girl needs her shopping time!
Great picture of the storm cloud-wow!
Thanks for sharing!

A number of years ago we did a girls weekend in Chicago during Dec. The windows with all the Christmas decor were unbelievable. I can only imagine how nice it was during warmer weather. We forced ourselves to ride in a cab and take the L...then we promised never to do it again...smiles...Renee

Chris and I would love to take the kids to Chicago. We really enjoyed the visit we had the fall before JJ was born. Now that is one evil- looking storm cloud!!!

Glad you were able to visit with your friends...

Kim, the picture of that thunderstorm is breathtaking. Glad you were able to get away for a bit of fun this weekend :) The girls look like they had a blast at the museum too. It's so hard to remember to take pictures when you're having that much fun

I have dream: trip to Chicago!
Io ho da sempre il desiderio di conoscere questa città che immagino allo stesso tempo tecnologica e in po "retrò", ma comunque molto umana ed interessante.
Divertente le avventure delle ragazze al museo.
