As promised, the girls and I enjoyed an overnight sleep-over in the treehouse Sunday night. With much cooler temps, we kicked off our evening with a marshmallow roast.
While we slept, the temps dipped down near 48. With all that insulation and Chris's wonderful construction, the treehouse stayed very warm and toasty.
A movie, board games, and lots of giggling helped fill the night.
The girls slept up in the loft, while I slept on the floor on top of 10 blankets.

That really is PERFECT! What wonderful memories you are making! Enjoy this special time! I have 4 sons that are all grown up and the time really did FLY BY! I sure do miss all of the fun we had! ♥
Lucky girls-such a fun Mom! I am welcoming the cooler temps...ready for fall! I am about 75% done decorating for Halloween but still tweaking along with fussing with my Halloween tree. think I will drive to Midland for pumpkins again this year. When I am ready (will I ever stop fussing?!), I will let you know I am ready for you to visit! Enjoy the day!
As another blogger just said, what wonderful memories you are creating for your girls! Love the picture of them peering out the door, that is so cute! Sounds like you had fun in your cozy tree house!! Best of luck on the first day of school tomorrow!!
So much fun!!! Your girls will remember this forever. You and your family have a had a fabulous summer, even with your sore foot! I hope the back-to-school week goes well.
What sweet memories you and the girls are making! I am so sorry that it is back to such an early morning for all of you.
I showed Tori the pictures of your tree house, and she then wanted to call her Paws to begin her playhouse right away! We are hoping to begin that project in the spring. I have some plans in the making...I just hope that it turns out as cute and cozy as yours!
Tell the girls to have a wonderful first day of school! I will say a prayer for them to have an extra special school year... Much love, Cindy
How sweet. Only I would have snuck inside...you are a great mom. Sweatshirts already...I am smelling pumpkin cookies! Enjoy your first days and new schedules....Renee
In 2008, we traveled to China to adopt a toddler who needed
heart surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot and hand surgery to remove an extra thumb. I'm always happy to share our experience with SN adoption. When I'm not at work, you might find me at an thrift/antique store or estate sale. I also love to sneak in a craft project and decorate our multiple dollhouses with my girls.
Come play with me!

In 2008, we went to the Jiangxi Province to adopt a little girl who needed open-heart surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot and hand surgery to remove an extra thumb. I'm always happy to share our experience with a SN adoption with others.
