A stroll through my Christmas village...

My Christmas tour continues with more tiny treasures.  This time, I'm featuring my collection of  houses and miniature elves that are currently residing on my living room fireplace mantle .

Most of the houses were estate sale putz houses that received fresh makeovers with a bit of new paint and lots of glitter.

I've mixed plastic houses with putz cardboard houses.
Erica's home is busy with elf activity.
My mother made this little church several years ago.  I love the flocked roof.

This winter wonderland is made up of lots of white felt and frosted garland.   Such a happy little Christmas village.

I love your Christmas Village mantle . . . I can imagine your girls dreaming of a life in the village as they look at your creation. So lovely Kim . . .

I remember a village with a church, a steeple and houses and stores in the window seat in our living room at Christmas time. The village laid on a cotton like felt that glitzened a bit like snow crystals. I would sit beside the window seat as a little girl back in the mid forties and pretend . . .

Thank you for bringing me those memories . . .

Your village is adorable. I can not say when I've seen any Christmas decoration more delightful than this. It makes me feel like a kid again . . . and isn't that the feeling we enjoy at Christmas.
I am your newest follower and I would be over the moon if you would decide to follow me back. I love making new friends and we share so many followers that I am surprised that I haven't found you sooner.
Have a lovely day.
Your newest blogging sister, Connie :)

You've created a magical little neighborhood! I'm curious if you made your felt icicles or not. I need some, but have been wondering if I should tackle it myself or just buy some. I bet anything you MADE them...knowing you! lol

Ooh, this makes me eager to put out my decorations! Hopefully this weekend. I love your putz houses up on the mantle- maybe I'll change things up and do that this year- I usually put them in a glass cabinet. Keep the eye candy coming!!

Kim, your little putz Christmas village is delightful! And I think your elves would be very good friends with the little tomten and woodland creatures on my piano.

You are going to get really tired of me saying that i love this and i love that but it is because I really do LOVE all of your decorating!!
You have inspired me to spruce up a bit some of the Putz houses that I have in my little village under my Vintage Tree...Totally adoring what I did with yours!! What a wonderful display to have on your mantle!
