Harry Potter Baseball!!

If you've been a follower of our blog, you know that my husband and Emma are HUGE Harry Potter fans.

In case you want to see our trip to Harry Potter World, see this post. If you ever want to create a Harry Potter themed-birthday party see this post.

This summer, my husband is also reading chapters from the last Harry Potter (complete with voices/sound effects) at the East Grand Rapids library on Wednesday afternoons.

With all the excitment building around the upcoming movie release, our local West Michigan Whitecaps baseball team featured Harry Potter Day at our ballpark on Sunday.

It was a hot day.
90 degrees with 69% humidity.
It was also just about perfect.

XOXO

This looks like such a great time. Much more so than our sweaty scout outing...My husband loves the books and listened to them all in the car while commuting. The boys have loved playing the lego Harry Potter X box game. What a great day...smiles...Renee

Oh, what fun! And the ball park is only two miles from our house-we hear the fire works every night they have them.
So very hot up north, I am happy to be returning home to central air!
Good to read a new post from you-Thanks for sharing!

The kids and I love HP! I was sad when I read the last book. No more to look forward to.

looks like fun! I never got bit by the harry potter bug! I have watched one or two of the movies on tv. But I'm not a big TV or movie girl. But I do have friends and family members who did go bonkers over all the harry potter books and movies! ONe friend who took her daughter to the midnight releases of the books at an area bookstore and they dressed up! It does sound like fun I have to admit.
I am pooped from sitting in the sun yesterday. I would love to go back to the lake today, but I have to work. tonight I'm going to repaint my front door I think.
have a great day!!

Looks like the girls (and I am sure mom and dad, too) are really enjoying their beautiful tree house haven. I just cherish my Asian decor, like you, and love it anytime I find something to add to the collection. Hopefully, Tori will want to take all that I have collected and use it for her own home one day.

How ironic that we were enjoying Harry Potter on the same day. JJ really enjoyed the rides, and Tori was enthralled with Hogwarts Express. (That's JJ's favorite part of the whole book/movie, except for maybe the chocolate frogs!)

Tell Chris that he is "the man" for volunteering his time to read at the library! I know he and Emma are beside themselves with anticipation for the movie premier.

Wow! I can't believe you have such a heat wave! I think that I would take your heat over ours.

Tori and I are off in a while to have tea with Aurora at the Grand Floridan. This will be my trip highlight!

Many hugs,
Cindy

Harry Potter is such a wonderful story and has captured so many minds of both adults and children. On about the fifth Harry Potter book my son and I went to get it at midnight at our local bookstore. I told him he could stay up as long as he wanted to read (all night if he wanted). I tucked him in bed with the book and asked them if there was anything he wanted before I went to sleep. He told me he wanted a cup of tea! I made him one and he read all night long.

I just found your blog. I was once a Michigander and raised my children there too.
You have such a lovely family and home.
I love that craft room. What a tribute to your little girl.
Drop by my place when you have time to visit and say "hi"!

doesn't that look like a great time? i miss the e.g.r. library, we have such happy memories of the place. my oldest won tickets to the movie premier from our library's raffle. she's over the moon.

i hosted a yard sale this weekend, last week passed in a flash of busyness. i'll have to read your past few posts to see what fun i missed.

How neat! I loved the Harry Potter books too ~ they were just sensational and I hated to see the series end.
