Recipe for a Snow Day

West Michigan is under a winter storm warning and we took Josie outside for her first sledding and snowman building experience.

Here's Emma's famous recipe for a snow day/school cancellation:

Step 1: Wear your pajamas inside out
Step 2: Flush 3 ice cubes down the toilet
Step 3: Place a spoon under your pillow
Step 4: Pray like crazy
Step 5: Do a snow dance (moves of your own choice and rhythmic style)

Enjoy the short video of Josie sledding with Emma.

Late Monday night, I'll be posting the next Christmas craft project. This next project requires a bottle of bleach, rubber gloves, glue, glitter, green bottle brush trees and beads. It's really cute and alittle bit messy.

Oh, it was so pretty outside today! We also had lots of fun outside -- this was Ella's first major snowfall, too!

OH MY...how I WISH we could see snow like that!! ***SIGH*** Guess that's one of the bad things about being in the South!!! Hope yall enjoy it!! LOVE Emma's things to do to get out of school!! How funny!!! Sophie would do it too if she thought it would work! This morning Silas was talking about snow...and she said "Silas...you might as well not get your hopes up...it NEVER snows good here!" I would LOVE for us to be surprised this year!! :) Have a wonderful time enjoying the snow!!

Thank you for the encouragement! When I talked to Karla today she said to expect about 60 days til we get our LOA...and you are right, it already feels like it has been tooooo long...

Love the snow. I so wish we could get some of that here. I am so glad to have your blog to follow.

Oh I miss snow. Not driving in it or shoveling it, but I miss playing and making snow angels and having snow ball fights. It looks gorgeous there!

I am really jealous of the SNOW Day. WE do NOT have snow days in south Georgia. It did ice up over the roads and on the power lines about 20 years ago. School was closed that day. ;)
