Celebrating Independence Day!

The girls had fun-filled Independence Day playing with their cousins in our 90+ degree heat.

We enjoyed all kinds of good food.

Our local firework display is being held tonight, so we had our own mini version last night in our driveway.

Hope you had a happy Fourth of July!!

My University is closed today (woo hoo) so I’m planning on making the most of family time. I might even jump in our little above ground pool.

Looks like lots of Fourth fun at the Kenwards! Chris had the day off, too. So, after our marathon sleep-fest yesterday, we had a mom/dad afternoon today while the kids were at the grandparents. Love your decor. . .I will share mine, soon!
Hugs!

PS--I bought all the stuff to make the red, white and blue cupcakes, but was too pooped to make them yesterday! Thanks for sharing the idea. . .and the your wreath from FF looks great! Was going to make that too, but. . .the Fourth came at a bad time! Oh well, there is always next year!

OK, the last pic with grandparents and cousins? Anyway, just a wonderful picture!

Why do I always comment on your blog that I am envious? ;) Envious of your creative genius, of your trips … I guess you do that sometimes on mine concerning new additions. ;)

Seriously, I hope you and your family have a blessed time away and that you can slip away from your conference some to check out the rides and fun! And is it OK to say I am a bit envious of your visit to The Crazy Eights?! She has a child from KCWI, so we have that bond and I love her candidness on her blog too.

You know if you ever have a conference bring you near our area, I hope you'll let me know and/or look us up! Happy travels!!!
