We were able to view three different wrecks on the 2.5 hour cruise.
We spent the rest of the day traveling west to Marquette.
Along the way, we stopped at roadside beaches
to admire the view of Lake Superior.
One of the highlights of our day was watching a freighter
come into dock in Marquette.
The size of the ship was amazing.

So glad you guys got to enjoy the glass bottom boat tour. The scenery is spectacular.
I've never been on a glass bottom boat tour. It looks quite interesting. I am glad to hear that you're having a fantastic time! Your family photos are just adorable!
marquette has some great parks and such a wonderful down town... and we even got to hang out in their hospital for a bit last time we were there : )
Loved those big freighters we watched those every evening. Last year in Grand Marais we were lucky enough to watch the schooners. Beautiful...Those beaches you all visited are lovely. I do hope you are able to get all that sand out of your boot! I think I still have sand in my car from last year. Smiles...Renee
This sounds like just the best trip...you have seen so many interesting and beautiful places. So happy that you are all having such a good time!
Sounds like you've all had a great time, Kim! I've never taken the glass bottom boat tour, but we did do the Pictured Rocks tour a few years ago and loved it! Looks like you are enjoying cooler temps up there:)
Such beautiful photos of your trip! So fun to 'go' along with you. :)
Thank you for sharing such relevant topic with us. I really love all the great stuff you provide. Thanks again and keep it coming.
What fun -- how cool was that! Looks like such a fun trip! Safe travels home!

It looks like another fun vacation day! Cute pictures of the fam!
Hope you have a great weekend!
The glass bottom boat looks like so much fun. Ive always wanted to take oneof those tours :) Glad you're not letting that boot hinder you at all!
I went back and got all caught up on all your vacation posts. I'm so happy you guys had a good time. And you made it through with your foot too! I haven't been to Mackinac since I was a kid, but I do remember the huge bridge. I was terrified all the way across it.
I think it would be so fascinating to view old shipwrecks from a glass bottom boat! There was one in Catalina where we just visited!
Blessings,
Janet
Looks like such a lovely trip!
I've never been there before!
Lake Superior looks massive (hence the name Superior---I imagine!).
