New Thrifty Finds...Craft /Party Books

One of my favorite vendors at our local antique mall is fabulous at finding vintage craft/party books. When I visited her booth over the weekend, this little gem was waiting for me.

My home scanner refuses to work with my new laptop. Excuse the shadows caused by me standing over the book with my camera.

Some of my other craft/party books (found in my personal collection) include:

The graphics in the books are just as inspirational as the crafts inside. My books proudly take up residence in my craft room awaiting a rainy day.

XOXO

Hi Kim! Just catching up with you, and I see in a previous post that you're already thinking Halloween! I've been picking up things here and there too, and I can't wait to start decorating. Those party books are perfect for you, because after all, you are The Party Queen!

Aw! I would love to peek inside. Better yet, I want to come and sit by the book shelf...I need a book shelf, but I am running out of room...I need a bigger room! You weren't out walking were you? These are so fabulous...this is why God gifted you girls. Smiles...Renee

You are fortunate, most vendors just want to get rid of things. It pays to have a friend in this business.

Things just get better and better as they age!

SEEING RED

A man who was out of his head
Was claiming he always saw red.
He saw it all day,
At work and at play,
And saw it at night while in bed.

That Betty Crocker book is a great find! I don't have that book, but I do have a couple of other vintage party books that are just treasures. The girls love to look at them! Thanks for posting about your collection!

These are great vintage books. Reminds me of my childhood:) You commented on my blog that you have doll beds. I would love to see them sometime. Glad I'm not the only one!

How fun. I bet their idea of a party was a little different than the big old ones you see on TV nowadays. I would love to sit down in front of your bookcase for a few hours.
