All things miniature...

While I'm recovering from foot surgery with my foot propped up on a pillow and ice, Emma has been happily entertaining her little sister with dollhouse play.

Organized bathrooms are very important in dollhouse play.

The love of miniatures runs in my family. My mother recently completed a special mini book project that is "1/144" scale. Note the Canadian penny to help size this special creation.

My eyes hurt staring at this amazing creation.
It's really teeny tiny!!

Happy playing!
Happy soon-to-be Easter!

Lovely photos Kim! The dollhouses are full of such wonderful treasures and the Bunnytails minibook your mother created is absolutely incrediable - love all the details, like the silhouettes and the illustrated carrots. Your post is very timely for Canadians as well - last week the Canadian penny was a front page story - the government announced in the federal budget that the penny will no longer be produced and prices will be round up to the nearest nickel. People will be looking for uses for their pennies, your mum's use as a scale is perfect.

Yes, I can see you get your talent from your mother. She must have an awesome magnifying glass and tons of creativity. Glad to hear your surgery went well. The cat looks to be taking very good care of you.

So glad your girls are enjoying their dollhouses. You are never too old to have fun with minis!
Your mother puts me to shame...I still need to finish the inside of my Bunny Tales Secret Book!
Hope you are continuing to feel better! Hugs!

Are you going nuts yet? Pretty soon you will be churning out miniature matchbox books. I love the little towels so neatly stacked in the bathroom. You mom did a beautiful job. The carrot bed frames are stunning...smiles...Renee

So sweet! The mini within a mini makes my eyes water trying to imagine peering at every teeny detail.
Take care of that foot (not that you weren't going to anyway, but just in case, I thought I should tell you because, well, I can't help telling people what to do)
