Sharing the love...a Kim K. Valentine give-away!

Thank you for all the Josie "get-better" wishes.  We can already see improvement in just 24 hours of stronger medications.

Another sweet Valentine arrived Monday from Patti at Paintin-Patti. Aren't these little farmers absolutely darling!!

Glitter, flowers and a sweet couple...who could ask for more!   Thank you, Patti!

My little white Valentine tree is nice and full this year.

The precious little pink pom pom kitty was made by Viv last year.

I've added a few more decorations using teeny tiny hoops that I scooped up from the thift store and filled with red fabric.

I'd like to share a bit of Kim K. Valentine love with a "no strings-attached" give-away.

I'm even including the gingham apron in this give-away too!

I also left the chocolates inside this Kim K. decorated Valentine box!
In case you're up to a little baking, here are a few cookie cutters.

In order to be entered in the giveaway:
* Leave me a comment on this blog post.
Period.
That's it.
Absolutely no strings attached.

I would love for you all to become followers, but there's absolutely no pressure. This is a giveaway for the pure joy of giving back to my blogging friends!
* Entries close at 8:00pm EST Sunday, February 3rd.
* Winner will be picked randomly by one of my two girls (whoever happens to be home and eager to be my assistant).

My sweet blogging friend (Molly) of Birdie Blue is also having a lovely Valentines give-away.  Be sure to stop by.  Here's a sneak peek.

I am continually amazed at all of the wonderful kindred spirits here in blogland.  I feel blessed to have gotten to know so many of you!  Good luck and Valentine hugs!

My little one is under the weather...

I haven't said anything, but Chris and I have been taking turns staying home with a sick Josie this week.

With her heart condition, I always get a little more nervous when her lungs start sounding junky. She's finally on stronger meds from the doctor and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she actually will be well enough to enjoy the Chinese New Year festivities on Saturday.

Even if she can't attend, I'm committed to completing my decorations and signage responsibilities (which is honestly making me a little crazy at night)!!

Emma has also promised to help me at the museum on Saturday.  She's such a good big sister.

On happier news, be sure to check back sometime Thursday.  I'm going to share a Kim K. Valentine giveaway!  Here's a sneak peek at one of the items... I even left the chocolates inside the box!

XOXOXO

Another Valentine-inspired Dollhouse post...

On Sunday, we traveled to my parents house to celebrate my nephew and father's birthday.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Happy Birthday, Carson!

Anyways, my mother had her Valentine decorations out and I snapped several different pictures of this amazing miniature house she made from a heart candy box.

If you look closely through the window, you will see a tiny table with a tiny lamp and a tiny grandfather clock.

Even the little shutters have tiny little hearts cut into them.

Here's a side view.

My mother belongs to a miniature group where they get together every so often to work on special miniature projects.  This was a project she did several years ago.  You can find more information on this house, including a tutorial on this blog.

As you can imagine, I'm totally smitten with this tiny heart-shaped house.  In case you are interested, the kit  is $13.50 and can be found here.

Speaking of Valentine dollhouses, when my latest purchase from Magpie Ethel arrived earlier last week, I decided to add a few more Valentine treasures to my keystone dollhouse.  Isn't she precious?

My Christmas garland and miniature Christmas wreaths are permanently attached to the picket fencing outside of my keystone dollhouse, so I got a little creative with my roses and hearts.

Happy playing!!

Happy Valentines!

Guess who is on the decorating committee???

At my very first parent meeting for Josie's Chinese Language School, we were ALL strongly encouraged to sign up to help at their upcoming Chinese New Year celebration being held at our public museum 2/2.

As I looked over the list of options, the decorating committee seemed perfect.
This "particular" committee has turned into so much MORE.  We've been meeting after work throughout the week and spending hours together each weekend at the Museum planning the event.

Table tents, posters, center pieces and paper cuttings are on MY LIST of to-do items over the next week.

It's going to be an evening of food and singing/dancing performances at our local public museum this Saturday evening for 125 children and all their families.

I can't wait to share this celebration with all of you...that is if I don't have a nervous break-down before the event!  Thank you Elizabeth (Creative Breathing) for my very special CNY character.

A snowy day...

These were taken Saturday morning from our backyard.

$1 bin treasures at Michaels...

I hadn't been to Michaels since early December (a new record I think) and their dollar bins are currently filled with some fabulous items right now.  If you are a Mary Engelbreit fan, just look at what's waiting to come home with you!!

Aren't these adorable mini kits?

Love the decorative clothespins too.

I picked up a bunch of these miniature paper flowers to use on a few of my Valentine crafting projects.

Here's a sneak peek at what I did with some of the roses.

Donna and I have been paired with each other to decorate chocolate candy boxes and then fill the interior of the box with goodies.  I'll share more pictures of her special box  in the near future.

Have a thrifty crafty weekend, friends!
