Chris's fishing cabin...

Someday, we'd love to own a piece of property on the water. Until that day happens, my mother built Chris his own little fishing cabin in miniature scale.  We've owned this hand-made treasure for over 10 years and it has a special place of honor in our home.

Chris's cabin even has a metal roof and a field stone fireplace.

The attention to details are just amazing.

The cabin even has an teeny tiny hornet's nest in the rafters.

Fish guts in the rusty sink...a productive day on the water.

An ice chest refrigerator complete with green apples.

Bunk beds with army blankets for weary fishermen.

Fishing poles rest against the fireplace after a fruitful day.

A special teeny tiny place on the water.

This is so sweet - it's like a dollhouse for guys! (The hornet's nest and the fish - genius.)

Absolutely amazing, love the use of materials, the roof and stone work are so real. It is so nice to see generations of crafters. I have a dream about a slice of waterfront too, sigh...

Who was it who said, "If you can dream it, you can make it so!"? This dream may be within the realm of possibility.

I'll do without the hornet's nest, thank you.:) It's truly a wonderful cabin that your mother constructed.

Your Mom is so creative!! So many details. I don't think I would like a hornets nest in my cabin. Hopefully that sort of thing doesn't happen in real life. Or does it?
