A mountain of mulch and other updates...

It's been a very busy week for the girls.
They've been attending the Families for International Adoption Heritage Camp during the day.
Emma is working again as a teen volunteer in Josie's classroom.
Midweek, Chris had a mountain of mulch delivered to our house.
After getting home from work and camp, all four of us weeded flower beds and hauled a zillion wheelbarrows of mulch until it was so dark you couldn't see anymore.
The yard is nice and tidy again.
There was even enough mulch left over from our HUGE mountain to give Camp Toadstool and treehouse/garden shed some fresh mulch.
In other updates, Chris attended a picker's estate sale.  He found some neat things and if you follow me on Instagram, you've seen the sneak peek already.
In the mean time, I'll leave you with a couple of random pictures of the sorts of things that were abandoned on this property. Next week, I'll share more.
May your father's day weekend be filled with lots of adventures!

Have I mentioned how much I love that flamingo header? So Summery! Can't wait to see the surprise! I haven't done instagram yet. We still have mulch to do. Other projects have been taking up my husband's time for his business. I hope to get it down soon. We did powerwash and plant though! More of the that this weekend if it doesn't rain. How great Emma and Josie share that activity together. Happy Father's Day!

Wow -- great job on the mulch spreading -- interested in a road trip to Nebraska to help me out with that project? If only we would have a dry spell, it might finally get done! :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

How nice to get fresh mulch and how great that you all worked together to get it spread. Interesting photos of the old stuff. Oh my! I'm sure we've lost lots of neat stuff this way. Sweet hugs, Diane

Looks like lots of work but so rewarding to have all new mulch and it looks so neat and clean.

I'll bet you can't wait to go to Yellowstone! This part of the country is sunny and getting hotter by the day. We tend to miss whatever's going on in the rest of the country. Your yard looks great!

You gotta love a good mulch job! The yard looks awesome. So glad your toadstool crew got fresh bedding too! BTW, I found the toadstool lights at Meijers and have a very mini version in my flower bed. I need some gnomes for it now :)

Love the photo of Josie and Emma! That is a huge pile of mulch! For a second, I was worried that maybe Chris brought that old car home:)!

Ah, we never even got to the mulch this year. Now it's so hot don't know when it will get done. Your yard looks great with all the fresh mulch. Hope you had a terrific fathers day.

Your landscaping looks fabulous! We have a love/hate with mulch at our house. We love the way that it looks over rocks but it is sooo high maintenance too. With that said, we need to spruce ours up this summer for a cleaner look!
